Lis fans of More beautiful life, the soap opera, formerly on France 3, which will return to the air on TF1 in early 2024, will not find the character of Abdel Fedala. On August 3, the actor who plays him, Marwan Berreni, disappeared after his car hit a woman in Mâcon (Saône-et-Loire). In the columns of Parisian this Thursday, September 14, Stéphanie Brémond, deputy general director in charge of serials and long series for the production house Newen Studios, explains having “worked on different story starting hypotheses”.
“We settled on a hypothesis where the character of Abdel Fedala is not present,” explains Stéphanie Brémond. The 34-year-old actor has played lawyer Abdel Fedala since 2009 in the France 3 daily soap opera which ended last year. It was to be part of the new version expected on TF1. “When we work on a daily soap opera, we are very pragmatic,” she adds. “We are used to managing actors who are unavailable, because they are at the theater or want to take a break. » But the unexplained disappearance of Arwan Berreni pushed the production teams to make a choice. “Out of respect for the viewers, we will not act as if nothing had happened. Abdel’s absence will be discussed. But, out of respect for the drama, we are not going to dwell on it. »
The victim hospitalized for three weeks
